some things give me faith in humanity. among these are the determination of good people to stand up for what is right. also, the fact that well over 100,000 (estimates up to 500,000) people peaceably demonstrated their opposition to war with Iraq in the freezing cold. Honestly, i see no justification for the war. saddam has done nothing other than be president of iraq. yes, he's not a good guy, but there are much worse leaders than him. why not launch a war on china to liberate 1.2 billion people instead of launching a war on iraq to liberate 1.2 billion barrels of oil? but anyway, thank you antiwar protestors for reviving my faith in people :)

I don't nessisarily want war, per-say... but there have been terrorists even before Sept 11, no mater what anyone says, the gov was just covering them up. Anywho... I think Bush is great to actually do doing something out the screwed up stuff that's seeping into the US.

No one wants war - ok there are a few jerks. Everyone wants peace. It's just the method that the peace is achieved. For my part I don't buy that the war is solely about oil (and the No Blood for Oil signs bug me) because Kuwait and Saudi supplies will be flowing into the U.S. for years to come (as are the Iraqi supplies through different channels). What it is about is establishing a friendly democracy in the Mideast that isn't as despised as Israel. We might need that ally for our businesses and our profitabilty.

Now I don't think that that is justification for going to war - however IF Iraq is developing weapons that can take out Israel and Turkey and anyone else around there - I wouldn't have a problem with going to war now in order to prevent a future war.

Remember that Hussein attacked Iran as soon as he purged his enemies from Iraq - and then went after Kuwait almost as soon as the Iran Iraq war ended. THis is a country with ambitions.
