Jan. 19th, 2003 07:06 amsome things give me faith in humanity. among these are the determination of good people to stand up for what is right. also, the fact that well over 100,000 (estimates up to 500,000) people peaceably demonstrated their opposition to war with Iraq in the freezing cold. Honestly, i see no justification for the war. saddam has done nothing other than be president of iraq. yes, he's not a good guy, but there are much worse leaders than him. why not launch a war on china to liberate 1.2 billion people instead of launching a war on iraq to liberate 1.2 billion barrels of oil? but anyway, thank you antiwar protestors for reviving my faith in people :)

Remember that Hussein attacked Iran as soon as he purged his enemies from Iraq - and then went after Kuwait almost as soon as the Iran Iraq war ended. THis is a country with ambitions.
