Breakfast like a person
Mar. 3rd, 2008 02:06 pmSo I made breakfast on Sunday and sat down and ate it. It was:
- Sauteéd asparagus, mushrooms and red onions with sesame seeds.
- a good-looking basil omelette with a sprig of basil as a garnish.
- delicious and attractive
I don't usually eat breakfast, but man, I was impressed with how it looked - green, white, purple, yellow, beige on a white plate with a red place mat. I enjoyed the taste, but I think I liked the dignity/classiness of it more than anything else.
This morning I had breakfast again. Cereal in a bowl. Tasty, but not particularly classy. I did make the effort to eat it, though, and I'm glad I did. It gave me a chance to calm down in the morning and chat with my roommate.
Unrelatedly, I feel absolutely exhausted and in a "wrong side of the bed" mood. and I'm sorry, Firefox, but if "relatedly" and "unrelated" are both words, why not "unrelatedly"? And why not "omelette"? Do I have to be a lazy American about my "omelets"?
