Back to the right.
Jan. 30th, 2008 11:47 amGiuliani and Edwards are dropping out. That leaves us with Corporate Dems (a moderate and a DLC) and about the same amount of insanity on the Republican side as we've seen before, but now the far right will only be split two ways (and Huckabee is no longer a media doll, so we're probably going to see 98% of the far right voting for Romney).
This article about "Why Edwards never caught on" really bothers me. There's no mention of the media, which really controls the primaries even more than the elections. Basically, it says that Obama is to 2008 what Edwards was to 2004. Except that Edwards in '04 actually had policies. And Edwards in '04 had years more experience than Obama in '08. And Edwards in '04 AND '08 actually talks about poor people, labor issues, healthcare...
Anyway, end of rant. I'm looking forward to Tuesday. And even more to Feb 17 (when I "move house")!
