First, I go back home in a few days (Friday) when I hopefully start working at the bakery again, and then its off to Montréal for New Years (I'm sure I'll write of that later). I have one last final (Comp Sci) and I have to finish the project for that. I finally finished my paper due last year on Chinese Jews. Anyone who wants a copy of the paper is free to have one, but I wouldn't want it if I were you. 21 pages on the history of Jews in China since the 1120s or so (i basically skipped over all the Maoist Jews and the Shanghai Holocaust Jews and everyone else from 1940-78 just cuz they were atypical circumstances). HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders!
Tomorrow I have a job interview with ACORN in Prince George's county, MD. Eh. Not too excited about it, but it would be a good backup in case

Not too excited about it, but it would be a good backup in case <a href="www.pirg.org>the state PIRGs</a>. It's not as political and this interview is jsut for PGC, MD, while the PIRGs interview nationally, ie, I can get off the east coast, USA and out of BosWash. That is kinda needed. Never been west of Lake Michigan unless you count China, but really outside of the Bos-Wash area, I've only seen Rochester, NY, Hershey and Lancaster, PA, Michigan a bit, Ohio a very little, and Orlando, Florida. shoin! and yet i've seen 11ish provinces in China and a good deal of pre-1967 Israel. However, I can actually understand what people here say and transportation is cheap (no plane ticket).
ooh! speaking of travel, check out this guy: <a href="www.letmestayforaday.com/">www.letmestayforaday.com</a> but before you judge him, read his <a href="www.letmestayforaday.com/aboutme.php">"About me"</a> section. By reading that, he sounds like an asshole, and I'm also bothered by his request for sponsorships and the ads on the site (e.g., <a href="www.worldtravelcenter.com/eng/cobrandindex.cfm?affiliate=rstoppelenburg">Travel Insurance</a>, and his digital camera brand, etc.) and such comments as:

No, not really. I just see it as a part of the job. While other people work from 9 to 5, I travel the world, thanks to other people. The reporting and answering questions is just the price I will have to pay for it.</i>
What an ass. I have to admit, it's a really cool idea, but it seems to have become too institutionalized (institutionalization is a really big word and ruins a most things, especially sentences), egocentric and selfish. but still, good for him. its a good way to see places.
And, I'm going to see LOTR on Thursday. Problems with the logistics and such, but it will happen.
And last, but not least, I have gotten rid of enough files to have over one gig free on my hard drive! this is much better than last night when i couldn't save a friggin MS Word sadistics cheat sheet because I didn't have enough free space or RAM. AIM needs to get smaller. It's far too large a file for what it does. actually, AIM crashed my system last night. i was dangerously low on resources and AIM decided that it needed to load a new ad for some email something. i don't even know what the ad was, because, as i said, my system crashed. dammit.
PS. Saw a girl sell a book on the Old Testament for $2 at the book cart. you can probably make more money selling the pages to homeless people for toilet paper. but she seemed pre-med or something, so it probably meant as much to her as my $18 sadistics textbook i sold immediately after the exam. anyway, now i will finish off some comp sci and go to sleep. night!
