Well, two. separated by my cell phone alarm at 8:45 am.

1. I went to this competition at Rutgers University. It was not a sports match, but it had that feel to it and it was in a stadium. Instead, it was a really complex and strange board game. I can't explain all the rules because I didn't really get it, but it looked like it really took an entire life to figure the game out. Nemeth was tehre, and I think Andrew showed up briefly. we watched these two players for like an hour until "half time" when they changed the board to multiple smaller separate boards and changed all the pieces around, too. anyway, i don't think we stayed until the end, but it was definitely worth going to see. i talked to some of the people who played it and they were completely obsessed with the game. it was very strange.

2. Having a family reunion-style picnic in the middle of the road of a town that looks like it belongs in an old spagghetti western. lots of good food all around - much of it was apparently cooked by my brother-in-law. anyway, my brother wanted to use my rollerblades, but they were too small for his feet. for some reason, i wouldnt believe this (though his feet are larger than mine) and decided that i should try to put them on my front set of feet instead of the back set. this took quite a while - unlacing the entire blade, stretching the boot a bit, but eventually i got it. they were a little snug. by the time i got them on my front feet, i realized i only had one set of feet and maybe it was time for new rollerblades. then, as i'm blading around a bit, tomatoes start attacking the picnic and the town. not plain tomatoes, but really big ones - with eyes and teeth. they looked liek they could have come from a cartoon. anyway, people were clearly puzzled since tomatoes had never attacked any of us before, so they watch the tomatoes. i seem to remember somethign about a nursing home, but i don't know what about. maybe there was a nursing home in this town, or many nursing home patients were at the picnic. probably the latter. anyway, the tomatoes attack, and I, with my rollerblades on my front set of feet, try to chase them away. I wind up killing a few i think. i find this big tomato in a space ship that seems to be dispensing or creating some of the other tomatoes. i figure that would be a good guy to attck, but he starts chasing me first. as he's chasing me, thank G-d, pellets of mud start to rain down. these pellets are spheres about a half-inch in diameter and made of what coud have been either dirt or feces. we figured out it was most likely mud sent by G-d to attack these tomatoes. the tomatoes, then, were clearly evil - so evil that G-d had to get personally involved in fighting them with mud miracles. anyway, the mud pellets pierced their soft, supple skin and killed many of them. while the mud was coming down, aaron and several of the picnickers were bringing in all the food that was out. i asked why because i figured that the mud had already ruined the food that was out, but people wanted to bring it in before it was more ruined. i asked if the mud was kosher, and the others there said that it was, of course, since it came from G-d. anyway, then i woke up.
