Oct. 13th, 2003 01:42 amKinda kept Sukkot.... I ate a meal in a Sukkah and didn't touch anything related to employed work or money during the hag, but i did call people on the phone, turn on lights, and not wave a lulav/etrog on the second day (first day i went to shul, but it was shabbas).
it was good to see adam, jon and tanai this weekend. hadnt seen any of them in a while (except adam who i saw thursday but in a larger group so it didnt count).
i need a job.
and the roommate situation is interesting.
was disturbed by a situation in Adams Morgan that i observed with tanai yesterday. really drunk girl was told by a guy she was with:
"You're too drunk!" which she was.
"I'm not going out with you anymore."
Then he took her to a cab, sat her in there, and told the cabbie where to drop her off. After that, he went back with the other people they were with and laughed at the situation.
My gripe: he should've gotten in the cab with her and made sure she got home okay. G-d knows if she passed out on the way or had alcohol poisoning or got raped or couldnt find her way home. bad move for the guy, i think, even if he didnt know her that well... too bad there arent more nice people.
