news t-shirts??
Nov. 7th, 2008 12:17 pmI just noticed, and am confused by, the icon next to CNN headlines. I mean, it's obvious what
means - there's a video. That's relevant, and useful for someone interested in viewing their news in a different way. I'm much more puzzled by
. How do shirts relate to the news? Click on it and you can... buy a t-shirt with the headline on it. Why? CNN doesn't have headlines that define generations. They just don't. (some other examples)
Let's look at some of these:
April 30, 2008: Campaign requires 'testicular fortitude'
April 22, 2008: Russian missile obliterates spy plane
Sept 18, 2008: Court summons for $.63 in child support
These are decent headlines, but they're not catchy. I'm not paying $15 plus S/H = $20.69 for a black shirt with poorly-written copy on it. I'm just not.
Maybe if I wrote the story and it was my first story and a lot of people read it. And I thought it was a good article.
