Oh, and tomorrow I continue my arctic adventures with a quick evening trip to Finland for work. Only get to spend two hours there, though.

It was a reception for the 13 American kids who are going on scholarship to Finland for the summer on the Finland-U.S. Senate Youth Exchange Program. Time for shmoozing with coworkers while wearing suits in sweltering conditions. But hey, not a bad deal all told.
So the scholarship is abbreviated " FUSYE - pronounced /FOO-see/. We have a similar program with Japan (JUSYE - JOO-see or Juicy). The director of Admissions once told me the US government was considering a similar program with Poland and asked me what I thought they would call it....
