Jurassic Park 4
Aug. 16th, 2007 05:57 pmJurassic Park was a great book. It was a decent movie, too - certainly the first of the latest string of sci-fi /philosophy thrillers like Independence Day, and The Matrix. Actually, I'm going to give Jurassic Park credit for movies like The Firm, The Fugitive, and Armageddon, too. They all have the same "feel" to me, and I can't think of a movie before Jurassic Park that felt that way.
Then came Jurassic Park 2. The book was written in such a way that it would have made a decent movie (although it was a really boring book). The movie didn't take advantage of any of the interesting things in the book (like the chameleo-saurus) and was intensely cheesy. With a TERRIBLE ending, too.
But apparently, Jurassic Park 2 wasn't bad enough, so they had to make Jurassic Park 3. Now, I didn't see this because I didn't think it could possibly be decent, but you know what? There's plans in the works for Jurassic Park 4. What's the latest rumor? Dinosaurs with guns. Yes. guns.
